Making Object Talk Back: Interactions For Everyday Messes
What if everyday objects stopped being passive and started responding with intent? This one started with my niece, and the oddly repetitive ritual of unbuttoning her onesie to check if her diaper was full.
Diapers offered a perfect setup, saline moisture meets material, a very real condition that could trigger a response. So I treated a pee-soaked diaper as a circuit input and wired it to activate a light. It's messy and mildly ridiculous, but a gentle reminder that interactions don't always have to start with screens ;)

bLOW-tech Birthday Cake
An interactive birthday cake that responds to human action. We wanted to design an interaction through direct human intervention, rather than passive environmental triggers (reacting automatically to darkness or motion) We built a playful experiment where when the candle is blown out, the light turns off and the arduino triggers a speaker to play the “Happy Birthday” song. Creating meaningful, celebratory interactions between people by combining simple sensors and delightful outputs.

Self-Learning Made Easy: Education for Street Children
A social design project addressing the lack of accessible education for street children in India, who face poverty, abuse, and neglect through no fault of their own. Believing every child deserves the right to learn, I created a system that brings education to them without disrupting their daily lives.
The solution uses car doors as mobile learning surfaces, featuring the English alphabet formed by the human body. Children can interact with these visual cues at signals or on the streets, turning everyday environments into playful, self-directed classrooms.
This approach was effective because it combines accessibility, engagement, and memorability: it reaches children where they are, requires no teachers, and turns learning into a creative, collaborative experience that can scale across different contexts.
